When Holman was developing “A Century of Industrial Violence,” his notes included a handwritten prompt that he couldn’t deviate from once written.
He became obsessed with a simple directive for the performance of the text and insisted that the work had to be performed by Christopher Eccleston, or not at all.
Our first edition is a limited run of signed and numbered publications that contains the list of violence from the performance and the notes from Holman’s notebook, as a performance directive.
This edition also includes a text by artist Dominic Allan and an essay on Holman’s work by Peter Shukie.
